Meet Willow Smith

In Calabasas, California, born and raised on the playground she spent most of her days...

Ladies and gentlemen, meet Willow Smith, the daughter of Hollywood power couple Will and Jada Smith.

A modern Ingenue, she is setting the standards for a new style in tweenster pop culture.
She sings, she acts, and she sets trends.  What we like about little Miss Willow, is that she can still be fashion forward and edgy without pushing the boundaries of how young celebs should dress and represent themselves.

New Look

As we are approaching our 1 year Anniversary of launching the Cuffs Couture's online store, we are excited to say it has a new look!
As we are moving out of our black and pink look, into a cleaner all white background, you will see several changes over the next month to our entire brand.  We are not changing the brand's look, just updating it for the dawn of a new year.

Ballet Bridesmaids meet Cuffs Couture

We have created Bridal Party Cuffs for several weddings, including my own.  We have made cuffs for girls in Two Birds dresses, BCBG Dresses (my own), and for celebrity weddings.  Take a look at some of our favorite Cuffs for bridal parties.

Bridal Ballet

This summer we were asked to create 12 Cuffs as gifts/accessories for a bridal party on the East Coast.  When we were designing them we asked the bride to send us pictures of her bridesmaids dresses for inspiration.  She sent us the Two Birds Classic Dress in Black.  This dress can wrap in up to 15 unique ways to create different styles and it comes in 18 colors.  The perfect dress that bridesmaids can actually wear again (as long as you get it in a good color).

Cuffs Couture meet Swan Lake

Since we are on the subject of all things ballet, I think some of our Cuffs fit perfectly into this new trend.  Cuffs Couture create the dramatic, theatrical look but at the same time they are super functional.  Check out all the looks here.
The Alice or Kendra Cuff are perfect for this look.

Swan Lake: The Accessories

In Black Swan, glamorous and elegant accessories add to the look of this ultra modern yet ultra classic take on the ballet, Swan Lake.  The movie encompasses all types of accessories that have taken over the runways.  The soft ballet flat, the feathered hair piece, the elegant cuff, leg and arm warmers, and soft cover-up pieces are all essential to achieve this look.

Try a feather headpiece.
Or a super chic, yet feminine headband.
Layer soft pieces for that "just out of the studio" look.  Try leg and arm warmers, or try Ch'armz, a removable sleeve that you can throw in your bag and take out and throw on when you start to get chilly.  But this new brand is so cool, we will discuss more later.

Enter the Tutu!

So when my mom hears that the Tutu is the hottest thing in fashion straight out of Lisa Kline's mouth I have to stop and think...One, why was my mom talking fashion with Lisa Kline of Lisa Kline on Robertson, and two, was Carrie Bradshaw so fashion forward that she wore a tutu back in 1998?  Well actually Patricia Field is the mastermind behind the fashion on Sex and the City, and yes she is that fashion forward to think a grown woman can leave the house in a tutu.

In 2010, Black Swan, the highly anticipated movie staring Natalie Portman as a ballerina, is inspiring designers all over the word to take classic dance costume and translate it to high fashion on the runways.

Swan Lake

Inspired by the upcoming movie Black Swan starring Natalie Portman, Mila Kunis, and Winona Ryder, this week will be all things Ballerina!
Here’s the official synopsis for Black Swan:
BLACK SWAN follows the story of Nina (Portman), a ballerina in a New York City ballet company whose life, like all those in her profession, is completely consumed with dance. She lives with her retired ballerina mother Erica (Barbara Hershey) who zealously supports her daughter’s professional ambition. When artistic director Thomas Leroy (Vincent Cassel) decides to replace prima ballerina Beth MacIntyre (Winona Ryder) for the opening production of their new season, Swan Lake, Nina is his first choice. But Nina has competition: a new dancer, Lily (Kunis), who impresses Leroy as well. Swan Lake requires a dancer who can play both the White Swan with innocence and grace, and the Black Swan, who represents guile and sensuality. Nina fits the White Swan role perfectly but Lily is the personification of the Black Swan. As the two young dancers expand their rivalry into a twisted friendship, Nina begins to get more in touch with her dark side with a recklessness that threatens to destroy her.

If Rihanna were a bride...

Maybe I can get married again and wear this Marchesa wedding gown in another lifetime.  But not all of us can be a bride everyday.  We are launching a bridal collection soon, but take a look at the Kendra Cuff if you feel like dressing up your wrist!

We heart Emma Watson

Emma Watson is truly stunning in her perfect little black dress with her oh so perfect little pixie haircut!  This young woman is turning into a chic starlet before our eyes!  I love her haircut, I just cannot believe how incredible she looks.

We also love this asymmetrical black dress.  I really like how the sleeve is pushed up to a three-quarter length sleeve which gives it a bit more of an updated look and a little less serious.

Emma could wear a Natasha Cuff on her sleeved arm instead of worrying about posing for pictures while holding a clutch.

Luxist Giveaway

We are so excited to be featured on Luxist.com

Luxist Giveaway: Cuffs Couture

If you hate carrying a purse with you when you are out on the town, Zoe might be your new best friend. Zoe, the design shown at right, is just one of the many creations from Cuffs Couture, a line of fashion-centered cuffs that do double duty as holders for your cash, credit cards and more. Inspiration struck designer Jacqueline Dadon when she realized how much she hated carrying a purse on nights that she was going dancing. Her solution was these soft, flexible cuffs that are embellished with ribbons, chiffon, bows, silk taffeta, beads, pearls and other details.

The Cuffs come in a variety of styles from rocker chic with zipper rose details to softer pieces like the Alice cuff with silk chiffon ruffles and a cameo brooch. You can wear just one or wear one on each wrist. For our giveaway I choose something that might work well with a variety of holiday party looks. The Zoe is a silk cuff with sequins and tulle adorned with chains and pearls. This cuff sells for $80.

Introducing Cuffs Couture

Introducing Cuffs Couture the fashion accessory with ingenious functionality. Whether you’re a nightlife aficionado seeking convenience or a fashionista on top of all the hottest trends, Cuffs Couture is sure to be the perfect embellishment to every outfit.

A few things to stuff in your cuff:

·      ID
·      Cash
·      Credit Cards
·      Lip Gloss

The concept behind Cuffs Couture came from a night out with the girls in Hollywood…Sans the boyfriend and his pockets.  I was forced to carry my lip gloss, credit card, ID and house key in a bulky clutch that was neither compact nor convenient.  My girlfriends and I vowed never to be in that situation again.

Cuffs Couture is the solution for those seeking a fashionable, hassle-free alternative to a cumbersome purse.  Inspired by the hottest fashion trends from runways across the globe,  Cuffs Couture’s products double as a functional accessory as well as a stylish embellishment to every outfit.  Regardless the occasion, day or night, Cuffs Couture gives you the ability to store your essentials in the most convenient and fashionable way possible.
